Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3) is currently looking for a Application Development Specialist  consultant for a contract opening with one of our Fortune 500 client located in: New York, NY

Role Summary

Responsible for the management and oversight of Infrastructure project/program testing for Infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure investment projects. This oversight includes all phases of testing and participation on the core project team. This role will be accountable for high quality test planning and execution oversight across multiple applications, business areas, and infrastructure as well as management of external vendor partner testing. The test manager will identify risks, create and follow through on risk mitigation activities using creativity while meeting overall standards and best practices. Individual will have senior leadership exposure for issue resolution, risk mitigation and testing status. Individual will develop and manage the overall test strategy across multiple applications, business areas, projects/programs and production releases.

  • A portfolio that highlights strong web experience developing within established and cutting-edge web platforms at scale. Your portfolio should show work that spans across a variety of platforms, is responsive and considers scale.
  • Solid UI experience.
  • Ability to work with low fidelity and high fidelity deliverables in agile teams.
  • Pro-active teamwork style and vision for your team while providing constructive feedback and empowering others through mentoring when necessary.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
  • Develop web experiences with the latest HTML, CSS, and JavaScript technologies, e.g., node, HTML5, CSS3, Angular 1 and 2, leveraging best practices, and online trends to provide recommendations for the team.
  • Not intimidated by current design tools, e.g., Adobe CC, Sketch, Invision, etc., or working with them to develop and complete deliverables
  • Proficient with Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Tools, e.g., JIRA, git, git tools, npm, bower, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
     
  • At least 6 years of experience with of web development with UI skill sets.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with foundational web technologies—HTML, CSS, JavaScript—and the surrounding technologies and tools enabling them.
  • 3 years of experience with Software Development tools.
  • 2 years of experience working in agile teams.
