Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3) seeks a IT QA Tester for a long term contract at one of our top fortune 500 corporations. This position requires that the selected candidate be located in St.Louis, MO.

The IT QA Tester will be responsible for managing all QA deliverables of highly complex projects. Will also lead large vendor teams as well as less experienced QA leads

General Summary: IT QA Tester - Standard holds accountability for the delivery of all testing aspects of a project. This includes managing QA deliverables of highly complex projects and leading large vendor teams as well as less experienced QA Analysts.  IT QA Tester - Standard assesses the risk associated with new application and software implementation and represents and promotes QA methodology across IT. IT QA Tester - Standard also devises improvements on current procedures and develops models of possible future QA configurations.

Level Expectations: Use best practice and industry standards. Use knowledge of broader systems, organize work and make decisions Identify opportunities and work with others to implement ways to expedite testing

Essential Functions: Represent the organization in solving problems Define test process including required test activities, deliverables and test schedule Lead on-shore and off-shore vendor partners in understanding the systems Ensure all testing standards are being met by employees and vendor partners by conducting reviews of all the test deliverables / artifacts Identify and lead process improvement across the QA organization Recognize and communicate dependencies in cross functional testing as well as data to complete estimates Contribute to the funding and forecasting process

TOP CRITERIA:

- Able to write SQL moderately

- 3-5 years of QA experience

– Able to work independently

- QA testing background with 3-5 experience

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in relevant discipline or equivalent work experience 3-5 years of relevant work experience OR a Masters degree and 2+ years of relevant experience Experience in system testing or QA preferred Understands how changes impact work upstream and downstream Advanced ability to identify areas for Test Automation Advanced technical knowledge base to perform testing functions on multiple platforms Ability to lead other QA Analyst in large cross functional projects and special assignments as needed Expert knowledge with the ability to design and strategize on testing approaches for large, complex, cross functional projects and/or projects in support of the QA environments Understanding of software development methodology MS Office skills required Knowledge of automated test tools and / or programming languages Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly and solve problems Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs Demonstrated advanced technical and analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adjust to meet the needs of the audience Detail oriented with the ability to work and guide others during time constraints to meet deadlines Strong leadership/influencing skills Knowledge of best practices and industry standards
