Data Integrity Specialist

Our Fortune 500 Healthcare client is looking for a Data Integrity Specialist for a contract position in Hartford, CT

Data Integrity Specialist Details:

The Data Integrity Specialist is responsible for reviewing, analyzing and maintaining the integrity of the Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) and the integrity of all patient data stored in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)

Responsibilities of a Data Integrity Specialist

  • The Data Integrity Specialist uses established data mining and validation tools within multiple data sources to research and make a determination concerning potential duplicates
  • Remediates duplicate medical record numbers (MRN)
  • Works with the Chart Correction Team to identify potential patient overlays/overlap and potential risks to patient safety
  • Collaborates with the EMPI Specialist to notify downstream systems/departments and supplemental software support staff of MRN changes

Experience of a Data Integrity Specialist:

  • Attention to detail!
  • advanced problem solving and high analytical skills required
  • Ability to analyze complex information and use problem solving skills to determine appropriate outcomes
  • Ability to make effective
  • timely decisions based upon sound judgement and data analytics
  • Considering implications and consequences
  • Advance computing skills required
  • Microsoft windows and web applications
  • Knowledge of the medical record content and patient care flow  strongly recommended
  • Knowledge of hospital computer systems and EMRs preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required for interacting with internal staff, customers and representatives from external departments and agencies
