Job Title: Data Governance Program Manager

Locations: Lafayette, LA


  • The Data Governance Program Manager leads the data governance activities at the Bank. 
  • This position will facilitate the creation of policies and procedures to address the Bank’s data governance needs and drive their adoption at the business unit level. 
  • This position will support a matrixed team of data owners, data stewards, business users and executive over site members with the adoption of data governance policies and best practices.


  •  Work with Executive Workgroup to establish policies and procedures around quality, security,          privacy, retention and standards for data.
  • Work with Executive Workgroup to define data ownership and stewardship for all data domains            deemed in scope for the data governance initiative.
  • Work with data owners, data stewards and business users to create ways to monitor and evaluate data    quality.
  •  Lead data prioritization efforts.
  • Act a liaison between Executive workgroup and data stewards on program adoption, education and     execution.
  • Maintain central documentation around policies, procedures, data quality criteria, taxonomy of data,   data dictionaries and business rules.

  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or                         abilities required.
  • Bachelor (4-year college) degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a data management role.
  • Experience with data quality initiatives.
  • ?Excellent technical skills.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL, SSIS, SAS or similar ETL tool.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively to individuals of varying backgrounds and skill sets.
  • Proven ability to work in a high paced and dynamic environment.


  • Microsoft Office suite. 
  • Microsoft Visio or other diagramming tool.
  • Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and SQL Server Integration Services.
  • Microsoft Power BI or other data visualization tool.
  • Pragmatic Works LegiTest or other data testing software. 
  • Profisee Master Data Maestro or other master data management software.
